Melia, I have just been looking at your blog- several pages of it. I am very impressed with some of your work; especially since you are self-taught. Congrats! Having said that, I just wanted to offer you a bit of advice. Some of your cakes look professional, but some of them do not... because of that, I would suggest that you do seek some training. You obviously have a talent and experience, but you'll serve your clients better if you have more education. Your instructors will be impressed!

I started baking cakes when I was 12 years old. At first, I would just play around with different shaped Wilton pans and experiment with making my own flavors. I've never had professional lessons, I just kind of taught myself things--I don't do things the typical way, but I'm proud of the methods I've invented. Every cake is a new learning experience for me.
